Azoumeh Pop Up: An Arab Dinner Feast

Musakhan is the pride of Palestine. It is a dish that in its simplicity highlights some key ingredents in the Palestinian kitchen. It is simply taboun bread, a bread that is baked on hot rocks, onions that are cooked down and caramelized with sumac and extra virgin olive oil, and roasted chicken. Continuing with the theme of Azoumeh, Musakhan is a family style dish where you are encouraged to eat with your hands, ripping apart the toasted bread soaked with the juices of the onions and chicken.

For dessert we will serve a traditional Palestinian summer treat: a Palestinian cheese course featuring an assortment of Akkawi, Nabulsi and Halloumi cheeses served with watermelon and a cup of mint tea.
